Three stages of coming home

1. Shelter now. No family should wait in limbo. We help fund temporary housing — rentals, host communities, and furnished apartments — so children can return to school and parents to work while rebuilding begins.

2. Repair and rebuild. Where houses can be repaired, we help cover what insurance and state compensation do not reach: contractors, materials, accessibility work, and safe rooms. Where homes were destroyed completely, we support families through the years-long rebuilding process.

3. Return and restore. Coming home is also emotional. We support community programs — youth activities, trauma care, and neighborhood rebuilding projects — because a street only becomes a neighborhood again when people feel safe living on it.

Why this work matters now

Rebuilding is the least visible part of recovery. The cameras leave long before the concrete trucks arrive. But for a family standing in front of a ruined house, this is the moment that decides whether they return at all.
